The establishment of the college in 1964 was the fulfilment of a long cherished dream of the localities in Guruvayur, who wished to have an academic institution in the area for both boys and girls. The college has developed into a first-grade college with 13 Undergraduate (UG) & 6 postgraduate (PG) Courses. Two of the PG departments have also turned into Research Departments at present. The college is marching forward in tune with the well-appreciated mission and vision that wishes to see the students turn out as meaningfully empowered citizens.
