Dr. Umadevi is an accomplished Assistant Professor and Head of the Biochemistry Department at Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur, where she has served for the past nine years. Prior to her current role, she has also held the position of Post-doctoral Fellow cum Research Scientist at the Centre for Nanoscience and Molecular Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), Kochi, where she conducted research in cancer biology.

Dr. Umadevi earned her PhD from the University of Calicut in 2013, specializing in neuropeptides and neurohormones. Beforehand, she served as Lecturer in Biochemistry at several esteemed institutions, including GEMS Arts and Science College, A. J. College of Science and Technology, and St. Stephens College.

Throughout her career, Dr. Umadevi has made significant contributions to the field of biochemistry through his research, teaching, and administrative roles. She is serving as Chairman of the Board of Examinations of Biochemistry (Theory & Practical) at the University of Calicut since 2018, demonstrating her commitment to academic leadership and quality assurance. She has authored numerous research papers in international and national journals and has presented her work at various seminars and conferences. Additionally, she has actively participated in faculty development programs and workshops, demonstrating his commitment to professional growth and development.
