Jayasankar M. obtained PhD Chemistry from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin for the thesis entitled “Sol-gel Alumina Nanocomposites for Functional Applications” carried out at the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST-CSIR), Trivandrum and Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), Germany, under the supervision of Dr. K.G.K. Warrier and Dr- Ing. Rolf Janssen (Germany). Subsequently, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Materials and Surface Technology (IMST), University of Applied Science, Kiel, Germany (January 2010-December 2011). He joined the Sree Krishna College, Department of Chemistry, Guruvayur as a Assistant Professor on 07, March 2013. 

Dr. Jayasankar M. has been recognized by several awards, DAAD Sandwich model Research Fellowship (DAAD, Germany-2008) and Raman Postdoctoral Fellowship (UGC-2016) host Institute Rutgers University, Material Science and Engineering, New Jersey, USA. His current research interests include Sol-gel Chemistry, Photocatalysis, LaPO4 composites, and Nanozymes.
