Chinthu Viswanath has been teaching English Language and Literature at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur since December 2020. After post graduation in English from University of Hyderabad, he secured an M.Phil in English Language and Literature from University of Calicut in 2013. In November 2014, he qualifed UGC National Eligibility Test with Junior Research Fellowship. When not engaged in teaching or research, he enjoys translation, editing, copy editing, proof reading, and subtitling for films.

Honors/Awards/Achievements

1. Wrote subtitles for the short film Missing Moments (2022) that won accolades at numerous            short film festivals world over.

 


2. Coordinated and organized a Frontier Lecture by Professor KV Ramakrishnan(Sahitya            Akademi Awardee, poet, translator, editor-journalist, and academician) on "Shakespeare and          Poetry" in the Department of English, Sree Krishna College,Guruvayur on 21 December 2022.

 


3. Organized an Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition in Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur on 18 December 2021. 


4. Organized an Invited Lecture ‘Reading Environment in/as Literature’ and observed Environment Day in the Department of English, Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur on 5 June 2021. 

 


5. Delivered an invited talk on 'Digital Carnivals: Performance as Identity & Identity as Performance' in the Research Forum, Department of English, University of Calicut on 2 June 2021.
