An Inter-Departmental Spelling Bee competition was conducted in the first week of November 2024 by the Department of Functional English, as a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Course (MDC) titled 'Vocabulary in Use' to foster and stimulate in students an enthusiasm for the English language and actively build their vocabulary. The competition was conducted across three difficulty levels, and Adithyan T.A from the Department of Commerce was crowned the Spelling Bee Champion. The Champion and the two runners-up were awarded prizes by the Head of the Department of Functional English. The Department aims to make the Spelling Bee an annual event.
