He is an enthusiastic folklorist who is always passionate about exploring the life and culture of indigenous communities of Kerala. He earned his PhD for his exceptional work about Padmasaliyas , the traditional weaving clan of Kerala. He has published two books to his credit which explains various exotic elements of regional folklore culture of India. Dr. Abhilash has written articles in several UGC CARE list journals. He has also presented research papers in National and International Seminars. As a subject expert in the field of Malayalam literature, culture ,art forms and cinema he is often invited as resource person to prestigious institutions. Apart from being an excellent academician he is also an adventurous traveller. It is his mission to study about the folklore history and enlighten the younger generation about the rich culture of our land.
