He started his sports career as Kerala State Senior Ball badminton player. He was also the Captain of Mahatma Gandhi University and Pondicherry University Ball badminton team. Rajesh Madhavan represented Pondicherry University for Shuttle badminton and Idukki Distrct Cricket team. His intense passion for sports inspired him to pursue a career in sports and chose to be a physical education faculty since 1998. He is a member of University of Calicut PG Board of Studies and also selection committee for Cricket (men and women), Shuttle badminton (men and women) ,Ball badminton University of Calicut. He assumed the charge of Associate NCC officer of Sree Krishna College unit under 23 (K)Bn. NCC, Thrissur with the rank of Captain. Capt. Rajesh Madhavan involves very actively in the academic and non academic activities of the institution as the NAAC Coordinator and Examination Chief Superintendent.
