Calicut University Inter-Zone Football concluded this evening with MES Valanchery clinching the title by defeating Sree Krishna College by three goals to one in a fiercely contested match. Ronak, with jersey number 8, Asif, with jersey number 12, and another player with jersey number 17, scored goals for MES, while Sangeeth, wearing jersey number 10, scored one goal for Sri Krishna. 

Dr. P. S. Vijoy, the Principal, chaired the awards ceremony. Prof. V. K. Vijayan, the Chairman of the Guruvayur Devaswom, was the chief guest. Jijo Joseph, the winning captain of the Santosh Trophy, and Indian football player Vibin Vijayan presented the awards. 

Advocate M. D. Faisal, a member of the Calicut University Syndicate, and former HOD M. M. Meena Raghunath extended their congratulations. K. R. Sambashivan, President of the Thrissur District Sports Council, and Suresh A. V., former Head of the Physical Education Department at Sree Kerala Varma College, were also present. 

Fifty-one team members have been announced by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the University Director, to participate at the Calicut University camp. Dr. K. S. Hari Dayal, HOD, expressed gratitude.
