The Centre for Language Documentation and Preservation (CLADOP), established in 2024 under the Department of Malayalam at Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur, is dedicated to the documentation and preservation of endangered Dravidian languages and dialects, ensuring their survival for future generations. The Centre aims to create comprehensive linguistic resources such as dictionaries, grammars, and audio-visual recordings, while also preserving the cultural practices, traditions, and oral histories closely tied to these languages. CLADOP also focuses on studying the evolving usage of language in response to contemporary influences and emerging linguistic trends in the Dravidian region.
