Biodiversity Club and “Bhoomika”- Nature Club jointly organized a series programme entitled “Eradication of Invasive Species from Sreekrishna College Campus” on 6th September 2024.       Dr. Sumathi V, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Sreekrishna College Guruvayur delivered an awareness lecture for the students on invasive species during the morning session. She was effectively communicated the disastrous effect of invasive species on local biodiversity. In the afternoon session, a field visit was conducted to the college campus with club members to fulfill the elimination mission of Target species 1, i.e., Hexasepalum teres. The programme has been reported in newspapers.
