Mycophilia is a humble attempt of Bhoomika, the Nature Club of Sreekrishna College, Guruvayoor, to enable our students to understand the significance of mushrooms and their ecological and social impacts. Understanding the importance of mushrooms as the decomposers in an ecosystem, and their impact in maintaining ecological stability is a significant step in moulding a responsible younger generation towards sustainability. Mushroom diversity of the Sreekrishna College campus was enumerated during this event and Dr. Bijeesh C, an eminent mycologist has handled a useful session for our students on edible and poisonous mushrooms in our surroundings.
