The BIS Kochi arranged an exposure visit to the Ocean Pipes, Avanur, to the standards club members of Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur on 20th November 2024. The visit gave them an opportunity to understand various activities in the PVC pipe manufacturing industry. The students also visited the quality control laboratory of ocean pipes, which ensures the quality of the products. The interactive discussion with the personnel at the plant and the lab created an interest and made them realize their role as a member of the club and planned activities to spread awareness about the BIS to the community and fellow students. This visit was a realization of sorts for the members of the stringent quality testing done by BIS for conformity assessment and certification.
