ANNAPOORNA
Annapoorna is a flagship program of National Service Scheme Unit 190 & 191 at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur, with the mission of providing food and nourishment to the less fortunate. The name Annapoorna is derived from the Sanskrit language, which means "the giver of food and nourishment." This program is aimed at addressing the issue of hunger and malnutrition among the homeless people of Kandanassery Panchayath and Guruvayur Municipality in Thrissur District, Kerala. The NSS volunteers collect food packets from volunteers, students, and teachers of the College and distribute them to those in need. This initiative not only helps to provide food to the needy but also helps to create awareness among the College community about the importance of serving the less fortunate. Through the Annapoorna program, NSS Unit 190 & 191 at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur is making a significant contribution towards eradicating hunger and malnutrition in the local community.Annapoorna program that takes place in Guruvayur town every Wednesday. The program distributes food packets to the poor and needy in the area, and it is made possible by the generous donations of students and teachers from Sree Krishna College Guruvayur.
