Swayam is a flagship program of National Service Scheme Unit 190 & 191 at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur that aims to foster entrepreneurial skills among NSS volunteers. The program aims to empower volunteers to become self-reliant and create their own businesses. Under the Swayam program, volunteers are trained to manufacture and sell various products, such as Note Books, paper Pen, Writing Pad, Dishwash Lotion, Toilet cleaner, and Floor Cleaner. These products are sold on the College campus and in participatory villages at reasonable prices. Through this initiative, NSS volunteers are learning valuable skills such as product development, marketing, and sales, which will help them to become successful entrepreneurs in the future. This program is also promoting self-employment as a viable option for the local community, which can create a positive impact on the economy. The Swayam program is helping to build a culture of entrepreneurship among NSS volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills to become self-sufficient and successful in their endeavours.
