ORGAVRUDHI
OrgaVrudhy is a flagship program of National Service Scheme Unit 190 & 191 at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur that focuses on organic farming practices. The name OrgaVrudhy is derived from the combination of the words Organic and Vrudhy (Growth), signifying the program's objective to promote organic growth and cultivation practices. The program emphasizes the importance of organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices. NSS volunteers work together in the NSS garden to cultivate various crops, such as chillies, brinjal, ladies' finger, and banana, without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. The program has been a great success, and volunteers have learned about the benefits of organic farming practices. Through the OrgaVrudhy program, NSS volunteers are promoting sustainable development and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment. The program is an excellent initiative that promotes organic farming and encourages the use of sustainable agricultural practices. By working together in the NSS garden, NSS volunteers are learning valuable skills and contributing to the preservation of the environment. The OrgaVrudhy program is an inspiring example of how small initiatives can make a significant impact on sustainable development and environmental preservation.
