AgroLegacy is a flagship program of National Service Scheme Unit 190 & 191 at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur that aims to encourage the cultivation of traditional crops, spices, and plants in the Kandanassery panchayat. The name AgroLegacy is derived from the combination of the words Agriculture and Legacy, signifying the program's objective to promote the cultivation of traditional crops and revive the cultural heritage of the region. The program emphasizes the importance of preserving traditional agriculture and promoting sustainable farming practices. NSS volunteers work alongside local farmers to cultivate various traditional crops, spices, and plants, such as turmeric, ginger, jackfruit, and coconut. Through this program, volunteers are learning about the rich agricultural practices of the region and contributing to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the community. The AgroLegacy program is an excellent initiative that promotes sustainable agriculture and encourages the preservation of traditional crops and farming practices. By working with the local community, NSS volunteers are promoting sustainable development and fostering a sense of pride in traditional agriculture and cultural heritage.
