A Culinary Showdown: Payasamela 2018

The Payasamela 2018, organized by the Department of Biochemistry as part of SKC Fest at Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur, was a vibrant celebration of culinary creativity. Held on November 5th, the event featured eleven teams, each comprising three members from various departments, competing in a spirited contest to showcase their skills. The inaugural function commenced at 10:00 AM, with welcoming remarks by Sangeeth, a third-semester Biochemistry student, and a formal opening by Principal Mr. D. Jayaprasad. The event concluded with an engaging competition judged by esteemed faculty members, leading to the Department of History claiming the title of winners. The Department of Physics secured second place, while the Department of Mathematics took third. Winners received an ever-rolling trophy along with cash prizes, celebrating both their talent and teamwork.

This event not only highlighted the importance of biochemistry in food preparation but also fostered camaraderie among the various departments, making it a memorable experience for all participants.
