Founded in 1967, the Department of Chemistry has a rich history of academic excellence. Our initial BSc program has been the starting point for many successful graduates over the years. The department host one undergraduate lab, one seminar room, and department library. The prominent alumni from our department are Dr. Krishnan Madappat (Professor, Texas San Antonio College, USA) V.T. Balram (Former M.L.A. Kerala) Dr. Rajan (Professor, Otta University, Canada) K. Vijayakumar (Scientist BARC) Dr. Haridas (Professor, IIT Delhi) Dr. Joby Thomas (Former HOD Department of Chemistry, St. Thomas College, Thrissur). Most of the students opt for higher education career like M.Sc after finishing their course.  Many of our undergraduate students qualified JAM exam and joined in IIT, IISER and NIT for postgraduate course. We are committed to expanding our academic offerings by introducing Postgraduate courses and research programs, thus ensuring that we continue to uphold our tradition of excellence.
