As the  outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic  created a shortage of sanitizers in the market Department of chemistry with the financial assistance of PTA prepared and distributed hand sanitizer. Dr. Sreeja T.D., Dr. Jayasankar M and Dr. Suresh V. Nampoothiri and 30 students involved in the process. The preparation was according to ISO standards using  isopropyl alchohol,  glycerine, water  etc. Preparation was done on 18/03/20 and the sanitizer was distributed on 19/03/2020 to different departments in the college, Syndicate bank Ariyannur , Post office, local people and to auto drivers. The sanitizer bottles  were  also kept in the common places of  college like canteen, library, place where attendance register is kept etc. The event was inaugurated by handing over the prepared sanitizer to the  Principal  Prof. D. Jayaprasad.
