Welcome to the Department of Commerce!

The Department of Commerce is one of the earliest departments of Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur. The Department of Commerce initially began as a Pre-Degree Batch of Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur in 1967.  In 1974, our college introduced the B.Com. degree course, marking the beginning of a new academic milestone. We upgraded ourselves into a Post Graduate Department in 1999 by providing M.com in Foreign Trade and Management. The Department has successfully produced numerous rank holders and a good number of students have cleared Professional Examinations like CA, CMA and competitive examinations like UGC- NET/JRF and CAT. A notable number of students are also pursuing their Higher Education at premium institutions like IIM, Pondichery University, Central University , CUSAT etc.

The Department is well equipped with an extensive library facility with latest edition books, journals and databases. The Department is also furnished with ICT enabled classrooms for an interactive and interesting learning experience. The ED club of the department actively organises inter-disciplinary programs and activities for nurturing the entrepreneurial skills of the students. Our Department also conducts orientation programs for the students enabling them to explore the vast number of career opportunities after their education at the college.
