The Department always focuses on a collaborative learning environment where the students apply their theoretical knowledge into the real world. Income Tax and Planning being a part of their syllabus, the final year M.com students visited the Guruvayur Railway Station. The purpose of the visit was two fold. Firstly, to create an awareness among the passengers on Financial Literacy and the second was to provide a consultancy service to the staff of the Railways on ITR filing. The students and the participants actively engaged in this process and the Department assured the railway staff that we would provide further consulation services in the future.
