The Department of Economics is an integral part of Sree Krishna College since its inception in 1964. The department is well functioning with a Choice Based Credit Semester UG and PG courses in B.A Economics. Our department assures transparency and professionalism in the transfer of knowledge through creative innovations in teaching. We have adopted student centric learning process in teaching. The department is fully equipped to meet the challenges of FYUGP and offers Minor and MDC courses of contemporary relevance. Our PG students are welcomed for interships at reputed institutions and are well paced after completion of the course. 

The department has strength of 228 students.There were five eminent teachers in the department till 2013 and now there are three permanent teachers and three guest faculty in the department.
