The Department of Malayalam at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur, in association with the Kerala Folklore Academy, hosted a three-day National Seminar titled “Nattarivukalum Susthira Vikasanaum” from September 8 to 10, 2021. 

September 8, 2021:The seminar commenced with the inaugural ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Reena A.M., Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Malayalam, welcomed the attendees. The session was chaired by Dr. Vijoy P.S., Principal, and featured an inaugural address by Keecheri Raghavan, Secretary of the Kerala Folklore Academy. The seminar brochure was released by Dr. Padmanabhan Kavumbai, State Level Coordinator for the webinar series. Dr. Geetha K., IQAC Coordinator, delivered the felicitation, and Dr. Sreelatha E., Assistant Professor, offered the vote of thanks.

The first session, moderated by Dr. Maya S. Nair, included a keynote address by Dr. K.M. Anil, Professor and Director at Ezhuthachan Padanakendram, Malayalam University, followed by an invited talk by Prof. T.P. Kunjikannan of the Folklore Academy. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mridula, an II M.A. student.

In the second session, moderated by Dr. Biju B.K., Dr. V. Balakrishnan, former member secretary of the Kerala State Biodiversity Board, spoke on "Nattarivu Samrakshanam: Samvidanangalum Niyamangalum," with a vote of thanks from Sreekanth, a III B.A. student. September 9, 2021: The third session, moderated by M.S. Sreekala, included talks by Dr. Pramod Erumbuzhi on "Oushada Sasya Paripalanavum Paristhithi Santhulanavum" and Dr. Dhanya R. on "Parambariya Paristhithika Vijanavum Susthira Vikasanavum." Riswana, a III B.A. student, delivered the vote of thanks.

Session IV, moderated by Dr. Abhilash S., featured Dr. A. Biju Kumar discussing "Keralathile Kadalarivukalum Susthira Vikasana Paripreshiyavum," with a vote of thanks by Akshaya Sreelekshmi, a III B.A. student.

September 10, 2021: The fifth session, moderated by Dr. Sreelatha E., included talks by Sangeeth Sankar A. on "Parambarya Kalayum Susthira Vikasanavum Keralathile Tholpava Koothinte Pachathalathil" and Dr. M.P. Vasu Mudoor on "Gothra Jeevitham: Samakalika Paripreshyam." Sruthimol, a I B.A. student, gave the vote of thanks.

The final session, moderated by Dr. Sreelatha E., featured paper presentations by research scholars. The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where Dr. Maya S. Nair welcomed attendees, Dr. Vijoy P.S. delivered the presidential address, and Dr. Reena A.M. provided the valedictory address and distributed certificates. Dr. Abhilash S. offered the vote of thanks, marking the end of a successful seminar.
