The Physics department at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur has undergone a remarkable journey of growth and evolution since its establishment in 1964 under the University of Calicut. Initially offering the BSc degree in Physics, the department made a significant leap in 1991 by introducing the M.Sc. Physics course. In 2015, it achieved another milestone by being elevated to a Research department. Today, the department takes pride in offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses in Physics. The department's facilities, which include state-of-the-art lecture halls, smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a department library, and research rooms, reflect our commitment to continuous progress and excellence in education and research. 

Our active research in Atmospheric Physics and Materials Science serves as a testament to our promising future in the field of Physics. Further UG and PG students of the department are exposed to research oriented projects in collaborations with various departments, institutions and Universities.
