The Department started a multi disciplinary extension lecture series Vanamali for introducing various aspects of Indology. The inauguration was done by DR.P.C. Muraleemadhavan (HOD,Dept. Of Sahitya, Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Guruvayur Campus, Puranattukara) and the first lecture on “Sanskrit studies in the West” was delivered by Prof. Ashok Aklujkar Professor of British Coloumbia University.
