The Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti and Post Graduate Department of Sanskrit, Sree Krishna College Guruvayur, jointly organized a programme on 18.03.2024, which was funded by Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti (Ministry of Education, Government of India) at Sree Krishna College Guruvayur. The programme was started with the welcome speech by Dr. Viswaja S. Nair, coordinator of the programme, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit, It was followed by the presidential address by the Principal. The renowned poet, orator and the recipient of Jnanappana award, Guruvayur Devaswom - 2024, Sri. Radhakrishnan Kakkasseri, delivered the keynote address and inaugurated the programme. Sri. Hemanth Varma, P.G. Sanskrit student, recited ‘Todakashtaka’, written by Todakacharya, disciple of Sree Sankarachaya, praising Jagadguru Sankaracharya. Dr.Sreeja V.N. (IQAC Coordinator) and Sri. Ijas  (College Union Chairman) Felicitated the function. First session of the seminar ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Sudha E.K., Assistant Professor of Sanskrit. The second session was started by a Lecture of Prof. V.Vasanthakumari, Professor, Department of Sanskrit Vedanta  Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit,  Kalady, on ‘The Universality of Sree Sankara’s Philosophy’, followed by a lecture on ‘The Relevance of the Teachings of Sree Sankara in the modern times’. Students participated enthusiastically in the discussion. A total of 206 (Students and faculty members) participants benefitted with  the programme. All the participants were refreshed with a high tea and snacks. They were provided with a paper file, pen and a letter pad. All the sessions were convened by Dr. Lakshmi Sankar (Convenor of the programme, HOD, Department of Sanskrit), and finally the whole programme was concluded by the convenor.
