The Sravana Poornima - Sanskrit Day celebrations organized by the Department Sanskrit of Sree Krishna College was inaugurated by Professor. P. Narayanan Namboothiri ( Former Professor , Department Sanskrit, University of Calicut and Director , Guruvayur Devaswom Institute of Vedic and Cultural Studies. Prof P Narayanan Namboothiri, who explained the importance of rational nature of word structure in Sanskrit language. Prof Nambottiri explains the gramatical structure of Sanskrit and its possibilities, The students of the Sanskrit department Devi Krishna, Rasika A K and Gahana were honoured for securing first, second and third positions in the National Sanskrit Olympiad. The program was presided by Dr. P. S. Vijoy (Principal, Sreekrishna College) and Dr. Lakshmi Shankar, Dr. Viswaja S.Nair and Dr. Suraj R. S. spoke. Kumari Meera recited the Ramayana and the students performed cultural programs.
