Everyone enjoys spending time with the family around an aquarium, which also serves as a fantastic focus point and meeting spot. Children can learn about the natural world and their environmental responsibility by keeping an aquarium. An aquarium is a fantastic lab setting for studying or seeing different aquatic animals up close. As a result, the aquarium industry is expanding quickly on a global basis. An impeccable, exquisite aquarium can be set up with the correct information. Keeping an aquarium requires a lot of technical skills; one must become knowledgeable about aquarium upkeep before setting one up. The Department of Zoology's "Aquarium Management" certificate program started on January 2, 2023. 13 II BSc students enrolled and completed their studies successfully. This certificate program aims to increase students' competency and understanding of aquarium maintenance. This curriculum addressed a wide range of factors that could positively or negatively affect the dynamics of an aquarium ecosystem. The variety and kind of aquariums, the water ecology, the layout of the systems and equipment, and the kinds of plants and animals that work well in particular types of aquariums. and discussed fish health issues, diseases, freshwater versus saltwater tank variances, and proper tank maintenance. To establish a healthy, fish-friendly habitat, raise understanding of the various living things that inhabit aquariums as well as its systems and equipment. This certificate program aims to increase students' competency and understanding of aquarium maintenance. It was discussed how crucial it is to maintain the ideal temperature, dissolved oxygen content, and other water factors.
