Department of Zoology, Sreekrishna College, Guruvayur, conducted a Seminar on the topic “ contributions of Professor Ayyappan to the field of Anthropology.”.   Invited talk was conducted for the students of Department of Zoology and some students of other colleges. Invited Talk was given by Dr. M.S. Mahendrakumar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Anthropology, Kannur University.  He delivered an insightful talk on the contributions of Professor Ayyappan to the field of Anthropology. He highlighted Professor Ayyappan’s pioneering research on tribal communities, his role in ethnographic studies, and his contributions to museum development in India. The session provided valuable perspectives on his lasting impact on Indian anthropology and cultural studies. Welcome speechwas delivered by C. Ravindran,  Presidential Address was given by Dr. P. S.
