On March 29, 2023, a group of 16 students from the Department of Biochemistry, accompanied by a faculty member, visited the Dietary Department of Daya General Hospital in Thrissur. The visit, aimed at providing practical insights into the functioning of a hospital dietetics unit, allowed students to explore various sections of the department, including the food preparation and storage areas. The chief dietician led an informative session, highlighting the coordination required to deliver specialized dietary care to patients. This hands-on learning experience connected theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, enriching the students' understanding of dietetics in healthcare.
