The P.G.& Research Department Of Botany Sreekrishna College, Guruvayur organised a two day department fest, PALOOZA- 2024, on 17 and 18 of October, 2024 at Mini Auditorium. Sri. K.P. Viswanadhan, a member of the Managing Committee of Guruvayur Devaswom, officially opened the program on the first day, October 17, 2024. The invited lecture on "Roots of Success: The Entrepreneurial Journey in Botany" was given by Dr. Binu T.V., Assistant Professor at St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda. The FYUGP batch students were the target audience for the talk. In honor of World Food Day, 2024, a food festival was organized by the students of our department, in the afternoon in the B.Sc. Botany Lab, Main Block, with the theme "Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future."

DAY 2

A workshop on Resin Art kicked off the second day of the department fest's forenoon session. Dr. Gayathri G and Ms. Dhiya, a resin artist, led the students' lesson at the B.Sc. Botany Lab. The Mini Auditorium also hosted concurrent sessions on a photo exhibition, a Botany Expo, and sales of cloth botanic printing, ornaments, and flower arrangements created by first-year degree Botany students. The afternoon session showcased a cultural spectacular featuring several programs presented by the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Botany. The audience watched a fashion display that showcased the nature imprints on various outfit styles, designed by our students, the first of its type in the campus. After an incredible lineup of cultural performances by our students, the two-day Department Fest, Palooza 2024, came to an end at 4:30 p.m. on October 18, 2024.
